According with the approved pointing system, Team classification will be made based on gold, silver and bronze medals.
Only in the event that two teams have the same number of gold, silver and bronze medals the position of the two will be established by the following pointing system:

2nd place = 7 points 5th place = 3 points
3rd place = 5 points 6th place = 2 points

OPENING CEREMONIES
The Official Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Monday 11th of May 2026 at 1600.
Two members from each country wearing the official team dress are requested to be present at the venue on Monday 11th of May 2026 at 1530. They will hold their country sign and they may bring their own flag. Countries will enter stage in alphabetical order. Host country will come the last on the stage stepper with all the team and will leave a space in the middle so the Officials and VIPS to be visible.
The Opening Ceremony will feature:
Artistic show linked to local culture.
Video and media content presenting the event.
Opening speeches / protocol.
A parade of all participating national teams.
Presentation of the event referees.
CLOSING PARTY
The Host will organize a Closing Ceremony on Tuesday 19th of May 2026 at 2100, location will be announce during the event, please confirm your presence at the Help Desk.
All participants can attend.
AWARDING CEREMONIES
The Awarding Ceremonies will take place after the final match of each day.
For the Seniors the Awarding Ceremonies will take place after the final match of each category. The third place must be ready for awarding. No flags are allowed on podium during awarding ceremony.
Medalists must wear official team dress on the podium. No other team member is accepted on the stage during the awarding ceremonies. Medalists must have prepared the Passport / ID for the doping testing.
Medalists will receive medals and certificates from VIP’s and officials.
Athletes shall be placed on the podium according to the following order (2, 1, 3).
Each athlete who has won a medal must be present at the ceremony and receive the medal personally. It could be considered inappropriate for athletes on the podium to have items other than the official uniform. Religious, political, personal, or commercial connotation or wearing a cap or any similar covers on the head is not permitted.
No other activities are allowed on the stage during awarding ceremonies, fine for violating this rule is 250 €.
All working staff (administration, scoring, technical, referees, sound, lights, video, antidoping, classification, medical care, security etc.) are exempted to follow the Anthem protocol during awarding, opening, and any ceremonies where national anthem is played. However, during the playing of the national anthems all working staff are required to work in silence where it is possible.
4. CHAMPIONSHIPS INFORMATION & PROCEDURES
4.6 Opening & Awarding Ceremonies

Antidoping Control will take place after each category podium ceremony. After the ceremony, all medalists must go to the anti-doping committee desk near the stage for random or targeted testing. They must have prepared the competition badge, Passport or the National ID.
The World Anti-Doping Rules, and where necessary the WADA Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency, shall apply throughout the championships.
Random and/or targeted Anti-doping tests will be conducted In Competition. WAF and/or WADA may carry out random and/or targeted out-of-competition testing prior, during or after the championships.
TUE (THERAPEUTIC USE EXEMPTION)
Athletes who take any substance or medicine listed in the “Prohibited List” of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for therapeutic purposes are requested to visit WAF website http://www.waf-armwrestling.com/anti-doping/forbiden-substances/.
